As we wrap up another week, here are a few key reminders for our NCS community:

End of Grading Period: The grading period officially ends this week. Please remind your students to turn in any remaining assignments. Report cards will be released on Friday, October 9th on Infinite Campus.

Parent-Teacher Conferences: If you would like to schedule a conference with your child’s teachers to discuss their academic progress, please reach out directly to the teachers.

Handbook Policies: A quick reminder to review our student handbook regarding dress code, tardies, and early dismissals so we can keep our school day running smoothly.

No School for students October 12th-14th.

Blood Drive
Just a reminder that our Blood Drive is this Thursday! To help build excitement, we are celebrating with a little Spirit Week throughout the week. Please see the flyer for the daily themes, and remember to use good judgment when it comes to appropriate school attire.

​Also, there is no school on Friday, September 25th.  

College Visits
We are excited to welcome several colleges to campus. These visits allow our students to learn more about different colleges and universities and ask questions about their programs and opportunities.
Monday, September 21: Florida Southern University will be on campus during Lunch/CA.
Tuesday, September 22: University of Mount Olive will be on campus during Lunch/CA.
Wednesday, September 23: Lenoir-Rhyne University will visit the Economics classes.
Thursday, October 1: William Peace University will be on campus during Lunch/CA.

Hard to believe, but we are officially over halfway through Quarter 1. Please take a moment to check Infinite Campus with your student to review their current grades, attendance, and any missing assignments. Catching up now is the best way to ensure a strong end to the quarter.

I am so excited and honored to introduce myself as your new Upper Academy Director. We have already completed four wonderful weeks of school, and our year is off to a smooth, incredible start. Seeing our students and staff back in the classrooms filled with energy and enthusiasm has been fantastic!

Spring sporting events begin this week! 

• Congratulations to the men's varsity basketball team for achieving the 7th seed in the NCHSAA playoffs! The boys received a first round by and will play their first game on Thursday in the second round.
• The EC Level Up night will be on Thursday, 2/26. This event is for rising 6th and 9th grade EC students. 
• The end of the third quarter is Friday, 2/27. Students please be working with your teachers this week to make up any missing assignments!
