The Lower Academy is working hard and gearing up for the end-of-year assessments. Please make sure your student is present and well rested! 

To support our Special Olympic athletes, NCS is hosting a spirit week from 4/20 to 4/24. Please see the attached flyer for details. 

​As we look toward 2026-27, please remember the first day of school is August 10. Any student who does not attend school the first two days is automatically withdrawn unless excused via express written permission from NCS Administration.  Please make summer plans accordingly and plan to return and be ready to start school on August 10, 2026.

​Hello NCS Lower Academy Families,
I am so happy to be back at work after spending time with our family’s newest addition, Lillie. I have felt your support and love while I was away.
On Tuesday, March 3rd, we will be having our Lower Academy Community Night, which showcases our fabulous students. Please see the attached flyer for more details. March 4th–6th are teacher workdays. 
March 4th has been designated as Parent-Teacher Conference day. If you would like to conference with your child’s teacher, please reach out to them.

I hope this message finds everyone well! It is hard to believe how quickly the first half of the school year has flown by. If you are able, we kindly ask that you consider donating to the Staff Cookie Exchange. Your support is always appreciated and helps us celebrate our wonderful staff.
We would also like to share that Awards Day will take place on Monday, January 5th. Families of students receiving an award will be notified by their child’s teacher in the near future.
Winter Break will be December 18th through January 2nd. We hope this time allows your family to rest, recharge, and enjoy meaningful moments together.

Tomorrow is our Booster Bazaar! This event is a wonderful tradition and gives students the chance to choose thoughtful gifts for family and friends. Families are welcome to join their children during their scheduled shopping time.
On December 16th, we will host our annual Staff Cookie Exchange. Please take a moment to look over the flyer for details—any support you can offer is truly appreciated.

Booster Bazaar Schedule ​

I hope this update finds you well! We have been working hard in the Lower Academy and it is showing in all of the wonderful work. 

Thank you everyone for being so patient with the 2-5 carpool line! Please remember if you are in the 2-3 line students are not permitted to enter or exit on the passenger side due to safety concerns. 

Please make sure you are checking your Talking Points and Infinite Campus for updates from your child's teacher. They share valuable information through newsletters to keep you up to date on school events and classroom happenings.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Fall Festival! It was a fantastic event filled with laughter, games, and community spirit. We appreciate all the families, staff, and volunteers who made it such a success.

Important Updates: 
 K–2 Character Parade – October 30 at 12:30 PM
Our youngest learners are invited to join in on the fun by dressing up as their favorite book character! Families are welcome to attend and cheer on our creative students as they parade around the campus.
 Red Ribbon Week – Begins October 27
We’ll celebrate Red Ribbon Week with special dress-up days and classroom activities promoting healthy choices and positive habits. Please take a look at the flyer for dress-up days!
Teacher Workday – October 31
There will be no school for students on Thursday, October 31. However, Ivy Camps is offering childcare for families in need of coverage that day. Please reach out to them directly for registration information.

Happy Monday! Wonderful things are taking place at NCS! The end of the first quarter is approaching quickly on October 8th! Time flies when you are learning!

Please be on the lookout for communication from your students teacher in regards to a parent teacher conference. NCS has set aside the teacher workdays October 9th and 10th as parent teacher conference days.
