2025-2026 Lottery Information

NCS is now collecting information on our current students who plan to return for next year. Please complete the Current Student Re-Enrollment Application 2025-26 for EACH current student who wishes to return. Please complete this form by December 17, 2024, to guarantee your student’s seat for next year.

Please note some important information for next year:

If there is a sibling of a current student that you wish to enroll in the sibling lottery, please complete the Lottery Application 2025-26. Please note, if the child listed is found to not be a SIBLING of a current student, any enrollment offer will be rescinded and the student will move to the bottom of the current waitlist at that time.
If you have an incoming kindergartener, 7th grader or 12th grader, please note that these are the years that immunizations are checked and students without appropriate paperwork will be suspended from school after the 30th day. Per G.S. 130A-152 through G.S. 130A-157, please ensure your student has had the following immunizations that are appropriate for your student and that you have submitted them to [email protected]:

Diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis/whooping cough [Dtap] – 5 doses
Polio – 4 doses
Measles, mumps, rubella [MMR] – 2 doses
Haemophilus Influenzae type B [Hib] – 1 dose
Hepatitis B [Hep B] = 3 doses
Varicella [chicken pox] – 2 doses
Pneumococcal Conjugate – 1 dose
Tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis/whooping cough [Tdap] – 1 dose by 7th grade or age 11
Meningococcal conjugate [MCV] – 1 dose by 7th grade or age 11
Meningococcal ACWY (MCV4) – 1 dose by 12th grade

This week is Red Ribbon Week for drug awareness. The flyer is attached below:

There will be a Bullying Prevention Assembly take place in the gym on Wednesday at 12:30. This is for all Upper Academy grade levels.
Congratulations to Bella Strickland who qualified for the Cross County State Championship! Bella placed 12th in the Regional Championship and will compete Saturday 11/2 for the State Championship!
Tuesday 10/29, all 10th and 11th grade students who signed up will take the NMSQT/PSAT in Mr. King or Ms. Hill's room. Parents please ensure students have their charged devices for the assessment.
Friday 11/1 is a teacher workday.
The Varsity Soccer team will host the first round of the Carolina 1-A Conference Championship Monday 10/28 at Talton Field. Neuse Charter will host North Duplin at 5:00. Union will play Rosewood immediately following.

10/21-10/25 Weekly update

The Fall Festival is Friday 10/25 from 3:00-6:00 PM. Any 6th and 7th grade student that attends the Fall Festival must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. You must sign your child out before the end of the school day or go through carpool to pick your child up.
A Marine Corps representative will be on Campus during lunch Wednesday 10/23.
High School basketball practice will begin Wednesday. Please make sure your child has an updated physical and followed the instructions from Coach Pulley on dragon fly. Please reference his email from October 11 for parent meetings and tryout information.
The middle school girls volleyball team won the county Championship! They beat ALA by a score of 2 games to 1 Friday. Congratulations to Coach Vann and the girls team!

The weekly athletic calendar is posted below. Senior night for boys Soccer is Wednesday! The high school girls volleyball team will participate in the first round of the state playoffs Tuesday 10/22 at Vance Charter!

Thank you for attending our parent teacher conferences this past Thursday and Friday. When parents, teachers, and students are all on the same page, it can only help your child be successful that much more!
High School NC Check-in's will begin Thursday 10/15 for Biology classes. Parents please discuss with your students the importance of the assessments. Administration and teachers will use this data to help children be successful in classes for the remainder of the year!
Band picture day will be Tuesday 10/15. Fall pictures for students will be Wednesday 10/16.
An Army recruiter will be on campus Thursday 10/17 in Ms. McLamb's room during lunch.
The Middle School Girls Volleyball team will be playing Monday 10/14 at Oak City agains ALA. If the middle school team wins, we will play Friday in the championship game! Good luck ladies!
The High School Girls Volleyball team will be playing in the conference tournament Tuesday 10/15 at North Duplin Jr/Sr. We will play at 7:00 PM. If we win Tuesday, we will play Wednesday in the championship game! Good luck ladies!
