1/27-1/31 Weekly Update

There are 31 instructional days left in the 3rd quarter. There are 63 instructional days left until EOG and EOC testing begins. There are 75 days left in the school year. Please ensure your child is coming to school daily so they do not fall behind on instruction.
7th Grade NC-Check in's have been moved to February 6th and 7th.
This is a Friendly reminder about our Blood Drive Tuesday 1/28 from 9 AM to 2 PM. If you would like to sign up to donate blood, please follow this link.
The band students will be traveling to Disney World on Thursday 1/30. If your child is attending, please make sure they communicate with their teachers.
Here is the 6th edition of the student newsletter. Thank you to Ms. Hill and all the students who help put this together!
Attached below is the weekly sports calendar. The Middle School Girls basketball team will be playing in the Conference Championship on Thursday 1/30 at 4:30. This will be 8th grade night for the girls basketball team and cheerleaders.
Middle School Boys basketball will have their 8th grade night Monday against Johnston Charter.

Homecoming is this week! Mr. Grady sent out an email to students last week with important information. Outside guest forms are due to Mr. King by Wednesday 1/15 at 3:00.

Tickets for the homecoming dance following the basketball games on Friday should be purchased on Go Fan.
There will be a pep-rally for the Upper Academy on Friday during 6th period.
Map Awards are Thursday from 1:15-2:00 PM. Middle School parents should have received an email if your child is receiving an award.
8th Grade Science Check-in's will be Thursday during class time. Please have your student bring a charged device and charger with them to school.

Welcome back everyone! I hope that you had a restful break and are ready to kick off the second semester!
Your child will be receiving course offering forms this week. Please circle the courses that your child is interested in taking next year. Sign and return that form by Thursday 1/9/25 to the main office.
Homecoming is next week. Mr. Grady will be sending an email to all students with important information regarding homecoming.
Please remember the new exam exemption policy for high school students.
