Thank you everyone for a fantastic start to the 2024-2025 school year! It has been wonderful to see so many smiles and witnessing such great learning taking place. At NCS, we emphasize the importance of educating the whole child and promoting the character trait values displayed by our Cougar Cubs. To honor these values, we will be recognizing a student each month from every grade level who exemplifies the following values, traits, and virtues: August - Respect September - Communication October - Empathy November - Gratitude December - Creativity January - Leadership February - Integrity March - Teamwork April - Responsibility May - Perseverance Students will be chosen for this award based on the number of character trait DOJO points they earn for their grade level. Recipients will receive a character education certificate, be acknowledged on the morning announcements, and their photos will be featured on the Cougars with Character bulletin board. We would like to congratulate the following students for receiving the Character Trait Award Respect for the month of August: Kindergarten - Sarah Labian 1st grade - Caroline Pearce 2nd grade - David Rodriguez 3rd grade - Vivienne Estep 4th grade - Rachel Soika 5th grade - Caroline Fetkovich Please remember that Friday, September 20, 2024, is a teacher workday! On October 10th and 11th, we will be holding our Fall parent-teacher conferences. This will be an opportunity for you to visit the campus, see your student's classroom, and meet with the teacher.
