We have so much happening in the last few weeks of school. Please read this update very carefully!
Thank you for your continued support! I hope this message finds you well. Students have been working hard in the Lower Academy this week! We’re excited to let you know that starting Monday, March 31st, students in grades 3-5 will be participating in our Mini Mondays practice sessions to get ready for the End of Grade (EOG) test. These sessions are all about helping students become familiar with the testing environment and reducing any worries they might have about the test. Each Mini Monday will last for just one hour, 8-9, giving students a chance to practice without feeling overwhelmed. And don’t worry—students who have separate testing settings will not be pulled during these practice sessions since they are just for practice. Thank you so much for your support as we help our students feel confident and prepared for the big day!  We are deeply saddened we had to cancel our Community Night event scheduled for March 5th due to unexpected weather conditions. We understand how much everyone was looking forward to this special evening, and we share in your disappointment. However, we didn’t want the weather to stop us from sharing the incredible work your students have been doing. To make sure you can still experience their achievements, we’ve put together a virtual presentation showcasing their amazing work! You’ll be able to view it from the comfort of your home at your convenience. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. I would like to congratulate our Lower Academy Battle of the Books team on winning 2nd place! We are so proud of you! The Lower Academy has a special treat next week to share with all of you! Our staff and students have been working extremely hard on preparing a presentation to showcase the hard work and creativity that would have been on display on community night. We cannot wait for you to see it! End of the Year Map testing began yesterday in the Lower Academy and will continue through the next couple of weeks. Please make sure your student is well rested, has a full tummy, and their computer on the following days: 3rd, 4th, 5th Grades Thursday, March, 20, 2025 & Friday, March, 21, 2025 Kindergarten Wednesday Mar 26, 2025& Thursday, March 27, 2025  We are so excited for Community Night this Wednesday, March 5th. Thursday, Mar 6, 2025 and Friday, Mar 7, 2025 are teacher workdays. These two days have been set aside for Parent Teacher Conferences. If you would like to have a conference with your child's teacher, please contact them! Thank you all so much for all you do! We have so many exciting things happening here at Neuse Charter School! Please mark your calendars for the Lower Academy Community Night on March 5th. Families and friends are invited to join us on campus for an evening focused on academic excellence. More details will be shared as we get closer to the date. The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NC DPI) has created support guides for parents and families. I encourage each of you to review these guides for your student. Take a moment to see how they can be helpful for you and your child.
