As technology becomes an ever-present part of our lives, many of our children are gaining access to smartphones at earlier ages. While cell phones can be valuable tools for communication and safety, they also pose challenges and risks, particularly for young children in elementary school. I hope this email finds you well and warm! As we roll into the new year, we have had many wonderful learning experiences this week. NCS thrives on family engagement and having volunteers. If you want to volunteer at NCS, please sign up and complete the following form. Students in grades K-3 are currently being assessed in reading through MClass. Please contact your child's teacher if you have any questions about this. On Wednesday, Jan 15, 2025 we will have our MAP awards for students in grades K-8. This awards ceremony was by invitation only. If you are unsure if you received an invitation, please contact your child's teacher. Early Registration is open for the fantastic Girls on the Run program grades 3-5! Each NCS student and family is invited to attend the NCS basketball games starting at 4:30 on Friday, January 17th. Admission to the games is $7.00.
