Neuse Charter School works proactively to identify and serve students who need specially designed instruction and qualify in one of the fourteen disabling categories as identified by the State of North Carolina.

Related Services
When a child is deemed eligible for services under one of the fourteen areas of disability, the IEP also considers whether or not a child needs additional services in order for them to access the curriculum. These may include speech/language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy or audiology services. A student who does not require special education is not eligible for these services. In order to receive these services, the IEP team must be able to show that the service is educationally relevant and without it, a student would not be able to appropriately access the school/curriculum.
