From messy roommates to foreign professors, going to college can be daunting and none know that better than NCS’ own alumni. On the week of October 12th five NCS graduates from UNC-Chapel Hill, UNCW, ASU, and Campbell came back to speak to the senior class about their experiences and the do’s and don’ts of college.
“Keep it clean!” advised UNCW freshman Aggie on her visit Monday. Among the worst things to have at college is a smelly, messy roommate. “You need to know how to do laundry.” Another necessity about college is to read the syllabus. College professors do not always remind students about deadlines and tests can approach faster than you think. Another great tip that was mentioned was that college is whatever you decide to make it.
Something all the undergraduates agreed on was that Neuse Charter had prepared them for college. More specifically, the work that they had done in Senior Seminar had allowed for an easy transition into college life whether it be sending a resume or budgeting money. NCS is somewhere where they can always call home.
